Education
Formal education
This involves primary school, secondary and adult literacy education, teacher training and community education committees training. YADA also rehabilitates and constructs classrooms, encourages enrolment of girls and retention of teachers. Enhancement of the learning environment involves rehabilitation and construction support facilities such as water sources and latrines for use by the school community.
Capacity building and training
YADA provides series of trainings, forums, challenge experiences designed youth to foster their minds and improve them think critically on what will benefit them and the coming generation. Youth will learn by doing, not just by sitting around note-taking and listening to lectures. This active learning style will help youth to get the confidence and best way need to overcome the difficult circumstances that prevent them from achieving goals and dreams.
Youth and women Empowerment
YDA provides mentoring, skills and educational services to at-risk youth and women, through youth resource centre, seminars, workshops and forums
Non-formal Education
YDA strategy is to contribute in rehabilitation and promotion of informal education, targeting Youth from age 12 to 38 where they are trained on basic education to help them communicate well, improve arithmetic skills in order to enhance their capacity to improve their lives and participate in development in their communities.
Implementing cross-cutting educational programs for marginalized populations targeting effective communication, tolerance and cultural and sporting settings, conflict management, HIV/AIDS awareness, leadership and entrepreneurship
Establishing basic education, adult literacy, and workforce development training initiatives
Offering mentoring and peer educator programs that provide positive life models, support, and build confidence
